Raised in NYC by a suit-selling father and bilingual-teacher mother, both from the Dominican Republic, my life blended my dad's flair with my mom's structure, amidst a city of diverse stories.

During the pandemic, my partner and I relocated here. She's local; I'm from the city. This shift made me reevaluate my hospitality career, leading me back to my roots. For over ten years, I've been involved in teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Now, it's time to fully embrace this path.

My approach, a fusion of structured operation and adaptable connection, mirrors my heritage. The discipline from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) intertwines my mother's lessons in precision with my father's teachings in artistry.

I established Compass BJJ to inspire transformation using Martial Arts. My mission: aiding others on their journeys through Jiu Jitsu. Here, students discover their potential and craft personal narratives. We train together, honoring BJJ's legacy.
